Tundra Lodge is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing for its 162 room, 20,000 sq ft of meeting/conference space, Resort, Waterpark & Conference Center in Green Bay, WI.

This key position functions as the leader of the hotel's sales effort (group, transient, association, corporate, SMERF, Tour, catering etc.) and has responsibility for achieving segment revenue goals, property revenue goals, and guest and associate satisfaction. This position leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives. Outside sales calls are a priority in this position - this is a working Dir of Sales position - specific market segment & revenue goals will be assigned while also overseeing the department. This position will oversee the Sales Managers, Catering Managers, Conference Services Manager and support staff.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Oversee all day to day activities of direct reports. Provides positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential; sets example with personal booking goals Provide leadership, direction and sales plans to achieve revenue budget Monitors and directs sales leads to sales managers, provides motivation, support, encouragement, and direction to all members of the sales department Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business. Develops, implements and sustains aggressive solicitation program focused on increasing business Recommends booking goals for sales team members Implements Sales Action Plans addressing revenue, customers and the market for each Sales Manager and segment. Maintains all sales systems and follow-up procedures. Ensures accurate and updated account files including sales records and reports, conference calendar, traces of history and potentials, logs of groups not previously accommodated and mailing lists. Develops design of new programs and campaigns, designed to develop additional sales from the various market segments. Ensures the prompt and systematic servicing of all business accounts (i.e., tracing, booking, contracting, communicating with hotel departments, and following up with group for feedback and future bookings). Identifies and analyzes competition, both locally and regionally. Responsible for financial management of Sales budget (including transient, group room and catering). Participates in the budget development process for sales. Oversees the property Revenue Management function and process Requirements Required Skills

Excellent selling and negotiation skills and understanding of sales processes; can effectively up sell products and services; able to close Excellent presentation, negotiation & revenue management skills Ability to set accurate account and revenue goals, as well as develop and implement successful sales strategies for individual accounts Ability to manage and balance group and local business Financial management and analytical skills - able to forecast accurately Effective decision making & problem-solving Effective training/facilitator, coaching and development skills Strong customer development and relationship management skills Qualifications and Education

High School Diploma or equivalent Bachelor's Degree in hospitality management, business management or marketing preferred. 3-5 years previous senior hotel sales management experience preferred. Strong Group Sales & Conference background Strong communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Technologically savvy - able to learn POS and sales tracking systems

Deliver supplies to the Housekeepers as needed. Collect & bring soiled linens to the laundry room. Refill toilet paper, hand towels, tissues, soaps & other missing items on the Housekeepers cart as needed. Deliver cases of water and dish washed coffee and glass cups. Deep clean meeting spaces, sleeping rooms & public areas including carpet & upholstery. Put away inventory. Weekends & holidays required. Shifts are 9 a.m. until finished five days a week.
